I am trained as a fashion designer at the Artez Institute of the Arts. Already during my education I was searching for new ways to make and present my work and I was investigating how disciplnes can be mixed. I realized that I am not the person to make several ready-to-wear collections per year. For me fashion is about the handmade, craftmanship, about pushing yourself to your limits in the making, a person as human being and her or his story, it's about distinguishing yourself, showing your unique poetry. I believe that nothing can be worn more beautiful than clothings worn in a personal way and style. The garments that I make have been described as punk, meaning that they emit a do-it-yourself mentality, that they are not matching routine fashion conceptions. My clothings are both raw and delicate. They have a refinement that makes them poetic and slack.
